On December 6, 1989, I was a teenager living in Germany and doubt I would have heard about the tragedy if it had not been for my mother, a feminist, who was very saddened. One of the main reasons I am writing this book is because of the pandemic of violence against women (VAW). On this day in particular I remember these victims.
